ubie/sonos/hue/qbus

#1 Post by evilbart » Mon Dec 10, 2018 4:58 pm

Hi,
i have a qbus system, hue setup with bridge and a few sonos speakers.

Q1 : if i buy a ubie box should it be possible to control the volume of the sonos speakers using my swc04?
Q2 : if i buy a ubie box can i control other lights in my qbus setup using my hue dimmer switch (or control my sonos volume ;) )

Thank you for your insights !

Hi Bart,

It is not possible to control the volume with a SWC. You can create a scene that you can execute with a SWC. For example if you have a everything off scene, then you can add the sonos in this scene to turn off.

The same goes for philips Hue. You can add your light bulbs to a scene.

Kind regards,
Koen

Hi Koen,

Thank you for your answer!
some new yes/no questions :
The same goes for philips Hue. You can add your light bulbs to a scene.
1. so if i understand then i have to create a scene in hue, and add that scene to a qbus scene to start it with a SWC04 button?
2. it's not possible to dim hue lights using SWC04 buttons. just on/off or start/stop a scene.

Thanks in advance for your answer...

No problem ;)
1. You create a scene in System Manager, in your Ubie account you can then add the hue. Place the SM scene on a SWC04
2. correct

Hi

It would be useful to have a overview of all the features/function that are supported for each Ubie app.

small additional question :? If the internet connection is not available
what will be the impact to Qbus/Ubie?
example: a scene to turn on a Hue light that is assigned to a SWC, will the Hue light work when pressing the SWC?

Best Regards
Geert
